An Introduction to Star Trek Adventures on Fantasy Grounds – no experience necessary (with Star Trek or FG)! Pregens will be provided.
On your inaugural assignment, you recovered the U.S.S. Alcubierre, a test-bed for a new type of warp drive after defeating a Romulan boarding party who had taken control of the vessel. As you dropped the last Romulan with your phaser, you recoiled in horror as a parasite scurried from the lifeless body.
Reporting back to Starfleet, you learned that in 2364, a survey team discovered the neural parasites on an uncharted planet. In a matter of months, the parasites had infiltrated Starfleet Command. This invasion proved unsuccessful thanks to the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D. Starfleet Command is eager to debrief you after learning of the return of the neural parasites. The return of the neural parasites has rattled Starfleet Command. While you are certain that the Romulan Star Empire has been compromised, you don’t yet know the full extent. Whether the Federation has been infiltrated is unknown. But an air of suspicion has descended, even among the crew. You look at each other, wondering who among you may be working against the Federation even now.
After towing the Alubierre back to dock, you have left Starbase 117 with new orders. Kortar, the same Klingon armored space station that called away the Decius from the Alcubierre before it was boarded by the Romulans, has suddenly gone dark. Starfleet Intelligence intercepted an ominous message sent by the station’s commander. In it, the Klingon appeared mad, as if suffering from some form of delirium. With flames roaring in the background, he shouted, ‘We are not ourselves!’ before venting the station’s atmosphere into space. As you are the nearest ship, the Klingons have given you permission to investigate. You have a bad feeling about what you may find there.
This event is fully booked.
