A road is going to be built through the East Wood, a forest near the Misty Mountains, which will link up two towns and aid movement of troops should either get into trouble. The local governor, Elasander, has tasked you and other interested individuals to clear a path through.
Starting at the Archel farmhouse, the adventure party, while stocking up on food, will learn that some Trolls have been raiding the livestock of the nearby farmers. Lien Archel, the owner, says he has seen firelight on a hill some two miles into the woods and has also followed Troll tracks from his barn in that direction. He says that the local farmers have put together a reward of 10 gold pieces for anyone who can drive the Trolls away.
It seems the first obstacle to the road has been found…
[This is a low level scenario taken from the 1986 MERP module “Trolls of the Misty Mountains.” Don’t expect anything too modern, it’s typical of the time, “explore, find, kill!” It will be voice (Discord) and text.]
Choice of pregenerated characters are here. First come first served.
Bookings
This event is fully booked.
Do you need to have experience with Rolemaster to play in this game?
No though if you want to choose one of the spell users that would require a bit more explaining.
I would like to play Relgorin the Silvan Elf Fighter.
No problem, Relgorin is yours.
I would like Bili if it’s not too much of a bother
Sure! You’ve got Bili.
I didn’t see any casters listed?
ok, found them. I didn’t want a caster just didn’t see any initially
No problems.
May I play Kulka
Sure. He’s yours to play.
Would like to give this a try although I have no experience with RM or MERP. I hope that’s OK.
You’ll be fine. Fantasy Grounds will do most the heavy lifting. All you need to do is roll D100 in this system. If the thought of a character with magic skills is daunting you might want to try Brooke (Hobbit thief) otherwise I’ll help you with the spells side of things.
Sure, Brooke is fine.
OK, Brooke is yours.
Actually, Tarl is not a bad choice either, especially if you’re after a good combat character.
Is Tarl a spell-caster? I do not see where the characters are listed but I would rather not play a spell caster. But sure, if you think Tarl would fit better in the party I will play them.
Tarl is a horse warrior with no spells. I’ll mail you Brooke and Tarl.
When can we look at our character sheets?
I’ll send you a mail with some screen grabs of the char sheet shortly.
You’ve all been sent via email your chosen character’s sheets as screen grabs.
