A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1–5. (Sub-Tiers 1-2 / 4-5)
►Click here for more details of playing Pathfinder Society at FG-CON 14!
Few dare tread through the ancient groves of the Verduran Forest, and those who do settle in these woodlands tend to stay close to their communities. Mystery and danger rarely deter agents of the Pathfinder Society, however. When the semi-retired Pathfinder Falbin ventured from his home deep in the wood, he came across an unexpected pocket of flourishing growth and summer weather in the middle of the wintery forest. He fears that this disturbance is the work of a cabal of druids whose mayhem the Society ended six years ago. Have the druids returned to wreak havoc, or are other forces at play?
Contents in “Down the Verdant Path” also contribute directly to the ongoing storyline of the Concordance faction.
Bookings
Bookings for this event have now closed.
I have quite a few 3rd and 4th level characters I can bring to this, if you guys are happy with the upper subtier.
Otherwise I’ll see what 1st or 2nd level character I can dig up.
I have my lvl 3 half-orc grumpy alchemist or a lvl 2 human Inquisitor of Asmodeus
The upper subtier sounds good, I could bring my lvl 3 merfolk sorceress and her pet snake.
(Don’t worry, she can grow legs, so there will be no carting around of bathtubs involved.)
Hmm.. upper subtier…
Silver Crusade – Iggy Toymaker – Male Dwarf Alchemist/3.0
Silver Crusade – Daydrocandri – Male Gnome Oracle/3.2
Silver Crusade – Thumpinollo – Male Gnome Sacred Shield Paladin/3.0
Liberty’s Edge – Brom of the Stone – Male Dwarf Menhir Savant Druid/4.1
The Exchange – Pugnacious Twiddlebury – Male Gnome Summoner/3.0
Grand Lodge – Spirit Walker – Male Gnome Spirit Totem Barbarian/4.2
Scarab Sages – Oban Ze – Male Ifrit Sorcerer/3.2
Silver Crusade – Thoom – Male Oread Monk of the Sacred Mountain/3.0
Scarab Sages – Lucky the Archaeologist – Male Halfling Archaeologist/3.2
Grand Lodge – Redfang – Male Kitsune Brawler (Wild Child)/3.0
A few options…
Brom is probably the obvious choice.. I believe he has had dealings with these druids before.. assuming that it is actually them.
@Blackfoot: I think you’ll definitely want a gnome for this one. I hope I didn’t give too much of the plot away now 😉
I’m trying to remember which scenarios had the evil druids in them… but I can’t seem to remember now.
The scenario with the druids is “Tide of Twilight”. But I can tell you that it doesn’t matter that much whether your character has played that or not.
Hmm.. right. It wasn’t a multi-parter? I could have sworn… hrm.
Well.. I’ve played that one twice.. once in CORE and once in normal… and my normal play guy is still available for this one…
Silver Crusade – Daydrocandri – Male Gnome Oracle/3.2
But.. that would put us as a very weak team for the upper tier.. and possibly a strong team for the lower tier.
To give you a short calculation from what you have posted so far:
If everybody takes the highest level they posted, we have 2 3rd level characters and 2 4th level characters. That would put you at an APL of 3.5, so you could choose whether to round up or down. Rounding up would mean it’s high subtier with 4-player-adjustment. Rounding down (or taking any lower level characters) would result in the low subtier, possibly without any adjustment.
So, it’s up to you if you want to go for the high subtier. I’m happy with both.
And again, for people who are fond of gnomes, I recommend playing a gnome, because there might be plot elements that are especially interesting for gnomes.
Also, there’s a special boon for members of the Concordance (it’s quite nice, but not that powerful, so missing it wouldn’t be that bad).
Seeing as we’re looking at an Alchemist, Sorcerer, and Oracle, I’ll look to bring my Half-orc 3-Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager/Urban) / 1-Fighter (Unarmed) to stand on the front line.
And let’s hope that DR 6/- will be enough to take the sting out of incoming hits since his AC isn’t great.
Seems like you guys would like high tear. In that case I’ll bring my Lvl 5 Oread Monk then.
