In ancient times this mine was worked by a civilization of surface-dwelling gnomes. The precious metals taken from here enriched the community and were exported far-and-wide, but eventually the gnomes dug too deep and unearthed an ancient evil, trapped in the earth since the old times. The gnome community has long since been destroyed and new beings have moved into the area with interest in opening the mines, but experienced adventurers will need to be sent in first to ensure the mine is safe.
This adventure for a party of 4–10 players is a (neo)classic dungeon crawl with puzzles, traps, fights and some hopefully interesting plot points and lore to explore. Players will take control of a party of 9th level pre-generated characters, each with a special skill or ability that will be useful in overcoming the challenges found in the mine.**
Be ready for new creatures, tricks, traps, and surprises in this event designed specifically for FG-Con.
Having played and created role playing games since the mid-1970s, Cai loves sharing worlds and new adventures with players of any experience level, from first-timers to grognards. While the situations portrayed in individual adventures might be intense, he always tries to maintain an inclusive party atmosphere of friendly camaraderie (and eldritch horror).
This session will be run on the Fantasy Grounds Discord server: https://discord.gg/VKbhkSt
*Vital game information will be shared in text form via the chat box in Fantasy Grounds, this will facilitate play for people with difficulty hearing, but will also give players the ability to look back at descriptions later on. Party members can chat via either text or voice via the Discord channel.
**The week before the event a video will be posted in the comments section to allow players to see a summary of each of the available characters. If you feel you’d rather play one of your own design, you’ll be given a link D&D Beyond where you can make a character using PHB and XGE to make your PC using point buy with no homebrew or third party materials. If you chose to go custom PC, you will not receive any hints about what skills or abilities to take.
The game is schedule for evening UK time or midday USA, taking up a standard time block of FG-Con play.
This event is fully booked.
