Fantasy Grounds College is a place to learn how to use the FG virtual table top to play with your friends. Our in house league is the Explorer’s Guild (EG): https://explorers-guild.github.io/

This league focuses at what we call sequential one shots. In other words, each session needs to be a self contained game that you could enjoy even if you have never played with us before and don’t bother to read any of the lore on the website in advance. We currently have one (Penolia) persistent world where changes made by one party will be encountered by the next. This world has been around for several months and has lots of lore, places to go, things to do, but you don’t need to know any of that to get started. You can spin in a random circle and wander off and find npcs that have problems you can solve, or find things to kill, or dungeons to dive in (we tend to run mostly 4-5 chamber dungeons these days so that a dungeon can be “cleared” in a single session). Some groups will focus on lore, others will focus on combat, both provide xp and other rewards.

For the FG-con we will be running a super long session (12 hours) Friday and Saturday, and a pretty long session on Sunday (9 hours). No one (but the GM) will be there the whole time. This huge session will be divided into 2:45 minute legs with 15 minute breaks during which we expect to be switching out players based on their schedules.

Preparation:

• You will need to register here when that opens.
• You will also need to download the Incarnate System modules from here: https://incarnategaming.github.io/download/ and place them in your “modules” folder.
• If you want your progress tracked then you need to register yourself and your character here in advance: https://explorers-guild.github.io/gettingStarted.html (registration time should be about 10 minutes).
• You will also need a lvl 3 point buy character made from either Wizard’s Player’s Hand Book or the Incarnate-Engine. You may use one addition approved source as listed here: https://explorers-guild.github.io/approvedSources.html (Note for league players: no Nexus Characters over level 5 can be played this weekend)

The queue: The goal here is to not have one individual show up and play for 20 hours in a weekend, the goal here is to give lots of people a taste of the league. To that end, if someone stops by who is not registered and one of the players has more than 2 sessions (6 hours) we will ask them to let other people have a turn. We are training up more GMs and have lots of games at other times, the convention is to introduce new people, not shoot way ahead on the leader board.
